How to Configure Your Vacation Settings

Are you considering taking a well-deserved break or planning a vacation? Maybe you aim to enjoy your holiday without any interruptions. Follow these straightforward steps to activate the vacation mode for your inventory, ensuring a peaceful holiday period.

Here’s how to go about it:

Go to “Settings” > “Inventory Rules”.

On the next page, you can either modify an existing rule or create a new one.

To modify an existing rule, simply click on the rule name.
To add a new rule, click on “Add new rule” at the top right-hand corner of the page.

Now, you have three options to set up the vacation mode.

Option 1: Manual Inventory Setting

In the “Inventory” field, input the number “0” (or any number you desire).
Under the “Assign to” field, assign the rule to your desired store(s).

This number will remain static and this action will notify all your assigned channels that the stock in your local warehouse is at zero ensuring you won’t receive any orders during your vacation.

Option 2: Fulfillment Latency Setting – (Only works for Amazon stores).

Click on “Advanced options.”
Under “Fulfillment latency,” enter the number of days it will take you to fulfill your orders.
Under the “Assign to” field, assign the rule to your desired store(s).

With this setting enabled, your current inventory will be displayed on your channel, along with the specified fulfillment time.

Option 3: Restock Date Setting – (Only works for Amazon stores).

From your Inventory rule, click on “Advanced options.”
Under “Restock date,” enter the date when you will start shipping out the orders.
Under the “Assign to” field, assign the rule to your desired store(s).

With this setting enabled, your current inventory will be showcased on your channel, along with the expected restocking date.

Option 4: Release Date Setting – (Only works for Amazon stores).

From your Inventory rule, click on “Advanced options.”
Under “Release date,” enter the date when you will begin fulfilling orders.
Under the “Assign to” field, assign the rule to your desired store(s).

With this settings, you can can choose a date which will display on Amazon, of the time you will continue fulfilling orders.

Note: If you select both a Release Date and a Fulfillment Latency, the number of latency days will be added in addition to the release date.

Once you have configured all the necessary fields, click on the “Save rule” button, and you are now prepared for a relaxing vacation!

After your vacation, be sure to revisit and modify the rule to accurately reflect your warehouse’s current stock levels. This step is crucial to ensure that your inventory management remains up-to-date and aligned with your business operations.

How Can I Get a File of the Configurations of the Mains, Subs, and Kits?

Can I Delete Multiple SKUs?

The Inventory Ahead Software does not support bulk deletion of SKUs due to potential past activity associated with them. Deleting them in bulk could result in inventory discrepancies.

However, individual SKUs without any past activity can be deleted. If you need to remove multiple inactive SKUs, you can download an Excel file containing those SKUs and request support to delete them from the backend.

Where do I locate my secondary warehouse in Walmart?

To locate your secondary warehouse or fulfillment center in your Walmart Seller Account, follow these steps:

Log into your Walmart Seller Account.
Click on “Settings” and then select “Seller fulfillment”.
Ensure that “Fulfillment Centers” is selected.
On the page, you will find the details of your existing fulfillment centers.
Typically, the first one on the list will be your default or primary warehouse.
The second one on the list will be your secondary fulfillment center.

By following these steps, you will be able to identify and locate your secondary warehouse or fulfillment center in your Walmart Seller Account.

From where Does the System Take My Cost of Goods?

The system retrieves the cost of goods from the cost price entered in the product information. However, if there is a Purchase Order with a later date than the cost date specified in the product information, the system will use the cost from the Purchase Order instead of the cost entered in the product information.

How to Receive Damaged Inventory

If some items in your PO arrive damaged, here is how you would receive damaged inventory:

1-Navigate to the Purchase orders screen.

2-Click on ‘Receive Inventory’ on the top righthand side.

3-Click on the ‘Damaged’ button, and then enter the number of units that were damaged.

4-Once that is done, hit save on the top right.

5-To view your damaged inventory, navigate to report> Total Damaged Inventory.

There you can see exactly the SKU name, quantity damaged, and the date it was received.

How to get API keys from Inventory Ahead and Set Permissions

What is an API key and what can be done with an API key? API is a way to get information from one Software and automatically import them into another Software without much manual work. When getting an API key from Inventory Ahead, permissions can be set to what information the API key will pull from the account.

Below you will see a clear guide on how to create it and how to set the permission for it.

1. On the settings page click on User Management.

2. Click on the Create API key. Name the API key, then click Create.

3. Click on the copy icon.

4. To set permissions, locate the API key created. Click on the 3 dots on the right-hand side. Click ‘Set permissions’.

5. On the following page you can set permissions as desired!

How to invite new users

Navigate to Settings > User Management.
Click on the “Invite New User” button located on the top right-hand corner.
Enter the email address of the new user.
Click the “Send Invite” button.

Once sent, user will get an invite via email with a link to “Join”.

Click or copy-paste the link in your browser, then follow the provided instructions.
